Big Machine Vodka's "Midnight Spaghetti"

Our vodka is so good we just can’t quit looking for ways to use it. If you’re looking for a savory winter meal that your family and friends will love we have a recipe for you! In Italy, this meal is traditional after a long night of drinking, but you don’t need to have had a couple of drinks to enjoy it! Just the ingredients below and a bottle of Big Machine Vodka!  

 

This meal cooks up 4 servings and takes just 40 minutes making this recipe easy to whip up and tastes delicious. This is the perfect late-night meal to share with friends and neighbors or cook for the whole family on Christmas Eve. Whoever you eat with, be sure to mix up and enjoy a Big Machine Vodka cocktail on the side. Cheers!

Ingredients

·      3 tablespoons olive oil

·      1 pound spaghetti

·      3 tablespoons tomato paste

·      1 cup bacon, diced

·      2 large yellow onions, diced

·      1 garlic clove, minced

·      1 handful of chopped mushrooms (optional)·    

·      1 handful chopped parsley

·      1 handful chopped chives

·      ½ cup Big Machine Vodka

·      1 cup heavy cream

·      kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Vodka Sauce

·      Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

- Add 2 large yellow onions and one minced garlic clove, cook until soft.

·      Next, add 1 cup bacon and cook until crispy.

·      Stir in 3 tablespoons tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.

·      Stir in ½ cup of vodka and cook until evaporated.

·      Stir in 1 cup cream. Cook for 3 minutes.

·      Simmer until noodles are ready

Noodles

·      In a large pot, salt your water and bring to a boil.  

- Add 1-pound spaghetti, cook until al dente. ·     

- Drain, then toss with sauce

·      Season with salt and pepper and add your herbs
