BIG MACHINE HAND SANITIZER NAMED OFFICIAL HAND SANITIZER OF INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

NASHVILLE, TENN. (June 18, 2020)--  Big Machine Hand Sanitizer is now the official hand sanitizer of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and will first appear during the upcoming Fourth of July race weekend featuring NASCAR’s Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at The Brickyard Powered by Big Machine Records

The Big Machine brand’s venture into making hand sanitizer began in early March when the COVID-19 virus became a global pandemic. Big Machine Distillery saw signs of an upcoming shortage of personal protective equipment in the local community and immediately pivoted to start producing sanitizer to support first responders. Once word got out that Big Machine was producing sanitizer, inquiries started flooding in from all across the country, revealing a full-blown national shortage of product. This realization then led Big Machine and IMS to change the name of the NASCAR CUP event previously titled the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard to the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at The Brickyard to create awareness of the hand sanitizer. Big Machine has made their sanitizing products available online at www.BigMachineVodka.com/shop with fast and affordable shipping across the nation for personal and professional use.

Supporting the cause for Big Machine Hand Sanitizer is two-time NASCAR Cup Champion Kyle Busch. Kyle will be featuring the brand on his helmet throughout most of the season including the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.

“I can’t think of a better way to raise awareness about our company’s ability to help during these challenging times than to be tied to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” says Big Machine Label Group President, CEO and Founder Scott Borchetta. “My brother and I have raced cars since our early childhood and we first visited the famed Speedway in 1977. Ever since, it has been our racing ‘home away from home.’ Having the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer brand tied to the Crown Jewel of racing, the Indy 500, as well as having title naming rights to the NASCAR CUP race, is very meaningful to us and everyone in our family of companies.”

The July 4th event marks an historic weekend in motorsports as the first-ever NASCAR-INDYCAR double-header. The marquee holiday event will be the first time the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will share the same track on the same event weekend. The GMR Grand Prix for the NTT INDYCAR Series and Pennzoil 150 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, while the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at The Brickyard Powered by Big Machine Records for the NASCAR CUP Series is scheduled for Sunday, July 5. All three races will air live on NBC.
