Buford Delivers Spiked Coolers and Big Machine Racing Their First Top 15 at COTA

Jade Buford and the No. 48 Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers team scored a 15th-place finish in the inaugural NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Circuit of The Americas on Saturday, May 22. The effort was the best finish in Big Machine Racing’s short history. Buford ran as high as third and earned valuable stage points on the way to his first top 15 of the year.

“Things are starting to come together for our No. 48 Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers team,” said Buford following Saturday’s race. “I’m so proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time with it being our first season. We wanted better than a 15th-place finish today, but it still feels good to finally have a top 15 and it was a great day for us overall. The next stop is a top 10, and I don’t think we’re far away from that.”

Big Machine Racing, owned by music mogul Scott Borchetta, first opened its door in January and is turning impressive results. Driver Jade Buford, a seasoned road racing veteran, has already put together five top 20 finishes in just 10 races this season.

This Saturday, May 29, Buford and the Big machine Vodka Spiked Coolers team will head to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Alsco 300. Tune in to FOX Sports 1 at 1 PM ET.
