2022 BORCHETTA BOURBON MAKES BIG IMPACT SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

For the second year running, Big Machine Distillery’s Borchetta Bourbon has made an impact on the spirits world. Demand for the product was so strong the distillery sold its entire allocation within a week of its release.

Following the record-breaking success of the 2021 Borchetta Bourbon release, brothers Scott and Mark Borchetta paid homage again to the history of motorsports by dedicating 2022’s release to the Unser family.

Bobby Unser’s 1972 AAR Eagle rewrote record books when it became the first IndyCar to break the 200mph barrier at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 50 years later, the Eagle’s winning spirit lives on in the 2022 release of Borchetta Bourbon.

Atop each bottle sits a miniature replica of the Unser Eagle, the same car that now resides in Scott Borchetta’s personal collection.

Despite doubling the allocation for the 2022 release, Borchetta Bourbon is still in high demand, and availability is limited to the Big Machine Distillery tasting rooms and select stores in Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, and Texas.

Availability of the 2021 release of Borchetta Bourbon has become extremely rare. Originally priced at $299, the remaining bottles available in Big Machine Distillery’s tasting rooms have been sold to a few lucky collectors and passionate motorsports fans for $2,000 each.

The label of every Borchetta Bourbon bottle features a photo of the original IndyCar race that took place at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in 1911. History is still being written over a century later as the 2021 release continues to pick up awards, including the highest honors from the John Barleycorn Society, Bartender Spirits Awards, and the Craft Spirits Awards.

Not far behind in the rear mirror, is the 2022 release which is expected to pick up just as many, if not even more honors in the coming months.

With an unprecedented nine Indy 500 wins between Al Sr., Bobby, and Little Al, the Unser family truly established itself as a twentieth-century racing dynasty. The same dedication to craft and skill can be seen in each bottle of Borchetta Bourbon, which is distilled entirely in-house by Big Machine and each barrel hand-selected by the Borchetta family.
