Big Machine Distillery Hand Sanitizer Recall Information

Recent FDA tests show that two lots of Big Machine Distillery Hand Sanitizer contained Acetaldehyde and Acetal in excess of the recommended levels and, therefore, represents a potential health hazard. Because we are not able to trace where these specific lots were distributed, we have opted to inform all of those who received our hand sanitizer of these findings.

According to the FDA, “while the exact risk from using hand sanitizer containing benzene, acetaldehyde, or acetal is unknown, FDA recommends consumers do not use products contaminated with unacceptable levels of benzene, acetaldehyde, or acetal.” To clarify, Big Machine Distillery Hand Sanitizer has not been shown to contain excess levels of Benzene.

As a result of these findings, consumers are advised to discontinue use of Big Machine Hand Sanitizer and to discard any remaining product.
