Enjoy the 4th of July with Big Machine Vodka

It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost the 4th of July! Although summer looks a little different this year, Big Machine Vodka is here to help you safely celebrate the Fourth. Keep reading for our tips on how to have the perfect 4th of July at home!

1.) Take the Necessary Precautions

If you invite family or friends over, make sure to keep the list very small and to practice social distancing. (You can read the CDC’s recommendations here and also get additional tips from USA Today). Encourage your guests to bring masks and also have Big Machine Hand Sanitizer readily available. If you’re in the Nashville area and want to have our sanitizer on hand for the 4th of July, you can pick some up at the Big Machine Distillery + Tavern. We also sell our sanitizer on our website and ship nationwide.

2.) Enjoy Big Machine Distillery Spirits

Of course, beer is a staple for this holiday so you’ll want to make sure you have some on hand. If you’re located in the Nashville area, you can stop by our Berry Hill location to pick up Big Machine Beer – we offer both Big Machine Lite and our Nashville IPA. In addition to beer, you can also make a festive cocktail. We recommend the following recipe - it will pair really well with our food recommendations listed below!

3.) And Plan Your Dinner Menu Too!

If you are inviting people over who do not live with you, you might want to consider having guests bring their own utensils, plates, cups, and even food to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, consider offering single-serve portions instead of a buffet.

When preparing for your BBQ, consider the three elements of your menu: main course, sides, and, of course, dessert. You’ll want to make sure that you have everything you need to properly grill the main course (charcoal/propane, utensils, etc). If you want to go the more traditional route, you can serve hamburgers and hot dogs – just don’t forget the toppings and condiments! If you want to change it up, chicken skewers or grilled pork chops can be a fun option too.

In our opinion, sides are the best part of any meal (other than Big Machine Vodka, of course). Make sure you have the classic sides as potato chips and baked beans. It’s also nice to offer various options so that you have a pretty and colorful table. Grilled veggies, fruit salad, or even something as simple as sliced watermelon can really complete a meal.

Don’t forget dessert! There are endless options for this holiday. You can serve red, white and blue cupcakes or cookies as well as an American classic, pie. If you’re running low on time and can’t make everything from scratch, you can always swing by your local bakery and pick up a festive dessert.
