ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Five Fast Questions with Danny Spiro

Danny Spiro is a crowd favorite and regular on the artist stage at Big Machine Brewery and Distillery in Downtown Nashville.  

We sat down with Danny to ask him five fast questions for this month’s Artist Spotlight. 

1.     How did you get started in music?  

Growing up in South Alabama music was everywhere. My friends at a young age were already playing music and by the time I was 13-14 years old, I was obsessed locking myself in my room for hours learning how to play guitar and writing songs without even knowing chords.  

 
2.     If you had to describe your music with a hat, what kind would it be and why? 

I would say a beat-up trucker hat! A little rock n roll, a bit of country, original, and timeless!  
 

3.     What was the most impactful event in your life that you credit to getting you to where you are today?   

There are so many. Support from friends and family when I got my start on stage. But I think a big one was when I was 15 and I saw my first real concert! The sounds of the arena, the atmosphere, the production, the music, I was blown away. I've never forgotten that moment.  

4.    Do you have a favorite cocktail (or mocktail) recipe you can share with our readers?  

Oh that's easy! Big Machine Vodka Slushy! Plus, a little Blackberry Moonshine floater to top it off!  

5.     Where are you most likely to be found when you are not performing?   

Well besides being in co-write meetings for new songs, I love going out and seeing my friends shows or just going out with my close buddies. When I want my peace and quiet, I'm kind of a film buff. Plus, playing video games lol.
